David takes several months a year to pursue an epic adventure. In June of 2005, when he stayed at the Silver City KOA, he was riding solo and self-supported, the Continental Divide mountain bike route.

His past adventures include bicycle touring on New Zealand’s North Island, bicycle touring in the western U.S. with his young children, sea kayaking, hiking in Europe, and motorcycle touring in Mexico and Central America.
