Of all the campgrounds we have been to this is definitely the friendliest and most helpful. Goes way beyond the job in excellence! Good breakfast, too! Great place.

Wolfsong Sanctuary

Wolfsong Sanctuary gives refuge to twenty-three wolf hybrids. Nine of these are “near-wolves” (94% to 98% wolf and first generation cross). They look and act like wolves and are shy and non-aggressive toward humans. Many of these animals have been rescued from the exotic animal trade.

A visit to the Sanctuary is a rare chance to interact with near-wolves. Visits are by appointment only and we at the Silver City KOA will be pleased to make a reservation for you during you stay with us. It’s an experience you’ll always remember.

Native Americans myths say wolves taught the first people how to be people. Their lesson was this: Mate for life. Care for your children. Teach them useful skills and respect. Always be loyal to family.
